What is Installation Art?

Installation art is a three-dimensional, often large-scale, and immersive art form designed to transform the perception of a specific space. Unlike traditional art, it transforms an entire room or environment into a unified experience that viewers walk through, interact with, or inhabit.

Visitors will be immersed in a space honoring the colors, sounds, and prints from African culture in the form of 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional artworks highlighting Kente Cloth, Mud Cloth, Ankara Fabric, African Masks, Batik, Printmaking, and Sculpture!
